The size measurement of a mechanical seal mainly includes the measurement of key parameters such as the inner diameter, outer diameter and height.

Inner diameter measurement: Use a caliper to measure the inner diameter of the mechanical seal, that is, the minimum diameter of the moving ring. Since the moving ring is held on the shaft, the caliper reading needs to be inserted into it for measurement.
Outer diameter measurement: The maximum outer diameter of the static ring is measured using the large end of the caliper. These two dimensions are important references when purchasing a new mechanical seal.
Height measurement: The height of the mechanical seal can be measured manually or automatically. Manual measurement requires the use of tools such as vernier calipers and micrometers, while automatic measurement relies on CNC machine tools, which can improve measurement accuracy and efficiency, but at a higher cost.
