‌The types of dry gas seals mainly include the following:

‌Single-end dry gas seals‌: Mainly used in situations where a small amount of process gas is allowed to leak into the environment under medium and low pressure conditions. Its structure is simple and suitable for neutral medium conditions that are harmless to the environment, such as carbon dioxide compressors, air compressors, nitrogen compressors, etc.

‌Double-end dry gas seals‌: Used when there is no flare to discharge the leaked medium, but a sealing gas of suitable pressure can be provided. Double-end seals effectively prevent the medium gas from escaping into the surrounding environment. They are suitable for conditions where the process gas is not allowed to leak into the atmosphere, but a small amount of sealing gas is allowed to leak into the machine, such as catalytic and coking rich gas compressors in oil refining units and low-pressure chlorine compressors in chemical units.

‌Tandem dry gas seals‌: Including labyrinth-free tandem dry gas seals and tandem dry gas seals with intermediate and front labyrinths. The labyrinth-free tandem dry gas seal has a simple structure and is suitable for conditions where a small amount of medium gas leaking into the atmosphere is allowed. In the series structure, two single-end seals are placed front and back to form a two-stage seal. The first-stage seal on the medium side bears the entire pressure difference, and the leaking gas is led to the torch through the interface.
